This blog will outline and journal the creation of a particle effects tool for Autodesk Maya.
This tool will be called SparkMaker.
SparkMaker will emulate the experience of creating a particle effect in the Unreal Engine 4 Cascade editor.
The purpose of this tool will be to ease users of Unreal Engine 4 into creating particle effects within Maya.
This will be accomplished by replicating common Cascade editor variables within a python based user interface, using python to map Maya commands and systems as closely as possible, within the bounds of creating a simple sparking effect.
